A picture I snapped on my most recent walk!
I love the little things in life that bring joy and adventure. Recently, my husband and I have enjoyed taking walks exploring the area and taking in the nature and wildlife as we go. Not only is this great for the body because it’s giving you your daily dose of exercise, but it’s also a brilliant way to get outside and enjoy the little things. As the seasons are change and the temperature drops, it’s not as simple as throwing on some shoes and leaving the house. You need to spend an extra few seconds of thinking time before you head out so that you know you have all of the essentials to make the experience a more comfortable one when out in the cold. In this post, I thought it would be find to share my winter walks essentials!
Here’s what you need:
A Thermos
You can never go wrong with bringing a hot thermos of tea or coffee along with you on your walk. The thermos will keep the contents warm and fresh to enjoy throughout your walk.
The right clothing
There’s no reason that you can’t be dressed appropriately, and look great at the same time, and this is all thanks to companies that offer you fashionable country clothing. Think knitwear and fleeces that keep you warm and toasty underneath, while still looking cute! Remember that comfort is one of the most important things when out walking, because if you’re not comfortable, you won’t enjoy yourself!
A walking buddy
While there’s nothing wrong with heading out solo, there is something about having a walking buddy with you that makes everything more fun. Whether you decide to take your furry companion or your human one, make it into a fun adventure. Oh and don’t forget to bring your phone or camera for pictures. Last time Paul and I came across a school and took some funny videos of us on the swings.
Comment down below what your favorite winter activities are. Even though it is getting chilly, that doesn’t mean we have to stay inside.
