The Nutcracker OOTD: Featuring FashionPass

December 21, 2022 by missoliviasays12@gmail.com Leave a Comment

Last Saturday, one of my best friends and I went to the Denver Nutcracker. We were excited for some Christmas festivities and of course, to dress up. We both work remotely, so there are few occasions that you’ll find us in anything by loungewear. We started the evening with an early dinner reservation at Quality Italian, which is a delicious restaurant in Cherry Creek. My friend purchased the tickets and went all out when choosing the great seats, so I wanted to cover a nice dinner beforehand.

If you are a long time reader of Miss Olivia Says, you know that I have been a FashionPass customer for almost a year. I have the Socialite membership (two clothing items and one accessory per rental) and it has been a great investment for someone like me who likes to mix up my closet without buying new outfits that I will wear once. I am currently grandfathered in at the old price ($79/month), but if I happen to pause and restart my membership, it will increase to the current rate of $89/month. I’ve worn and shipped back my rentals almost on a weekly basis since I first signed up, with the exception of taking items on vacations and when I paused it for two months during the summer. If you use my code OLIVIA19C to sign up, for a limited time, you will receive $50 off your first month’s membership! Now that you have the backstory on FashionPass, onto the point of this post: An OOTD!

I chose this Jasalina Mini dress by Amanda Uprichard for my Nutcracker outfit. I think the dress would look better without tights, but it was frigid that evening so they were necessary. I also loved the length of this dress because being 5’9, it can be difficult to find classy, yet long enough midi dresses. My friend let me borrow her black JCrew heels and I finished the look with gold jewelry. The only downside was I had trouble figuring out how to tie the back so the front bust area kept slanting. I think it would have been an easy fix if I tried for more than two minutes.
