After years and years of watching YouTubers from MeganHeartsMakeup back in the day to my current favorites, Carrie Dayton, Tasha Farsaci, David Dobrik, and Aspen Ovard to name a few, I finally made my first YouTube video!
I’ve thought about creating YouTube videos for years and never went through with it. I recently purchased a Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II and decided that I no longer had an excuse. I was inspired by my last blog post (Packing for Fiji – Shorts Styled 3 Ways) and thought a great first video idea would be Pack with me for Fiji where do a quick try on featuring a couple of pieces I am bringing on my trip.
I’ll be honest, creating YouTube videos is a lot harder than it looks. Talking to a camera does not come naturally and after watching YouTubers make it look easy for so many years, I was surprised at the difficulty. Even though it is an adjustment, I had so much fun creating this video and can’t wait to document my trip starting next week!
Also side note, I am not even mad my video only has 1 view (which was definitely me) at the time I am writing this lol!! Honestly, I am looking forward to using YouTube as a creative outlet and having fun.
