How to edit blog and Instagram iPhone photos without Photoshop (Featuring: Facetune)

How to edit blog and instagram pictures to make a white theme: whiten and brighten iPhone pictures without photoshop.
For the longest time I was so jealous of all the artsy blog and Instagram pictures that had the sleek white-bright look to them. I wanted to achieve that look for my pictures, but I don’t have Photoshop and I don’t have a fancy DSLR camera. At some point I do want to make that investment, but for now I had to improvise and figure out a way to get the look I wanted for my pictures. Just like a lot of other bloggers, I use my good ol’ iPhone to take most of my blog pictures. Below I have outlined how I brighten and whiten my picture:

What app I use:
To brighten/whiten my pictures, I use the Facetune app. I believe this app is 99 cents, but it is totally worth it if you don’t want to buy Photoshop. It is super easy and makes such the difference to your pictures. Simply load the image, choose the “whiten” feature and then use your finger to brighten all the white spaces.

You can continue to edit the picture on your phone to brighten, add contrast, and saturation! Below I added another example of how I edit pictures on my iPhone without Photoshop!

Factune makes a HUGE difference in your photos! What do you guys use to edit pictures?

I actually just use the photos app on my mac! It does just what I need it to do aka. color correction, brightness, and white balance. The best thing is is that it's free! Great post!

I own FaceTune either though I tend to stick with VSCO, but maybe I'll try it out for the next IG post!

Thanks for the tip! I've never used this app before, but I'm definitely going to give it a try. I'm always looking for ways to improve my photos through brightening them, especially since a lot of mine are taken in restaurants with dim lighting.
