This applies to anyone no matter what year you are! Personally, I am a backpack person, so I recommend a Northface backpack. They are great quality and I use mine for both school and travel. If you prefer being more stylish with a purse, a Longchamp bag is the perfect size. However, if I have a night class, I tend to use a purse because I have less stuff I am lugging around. In addition to any textbooks you need to bring, make sure you have your planer, notebook, highlighters, pens, and pencils! Don’t be that person who is always asking for an extra pen!
If your class allows it or you have free time in between class, bring your laptop so you can take notes or work on homework! Additionally, along with your phone, bring headphones so you can listen to music walking from class to class or in the library while you work on homework. I also recommend bringing a make up bag with any essentials you may need if you are going to be away from your dorm or apartment all day. Since I do not live on campus anymore and I don’t have meal points (so sad), I usually bring a snack or a lunch if I have class all day or have to go straight to my on-campus job.
