Halfway through our vacation in St. Lucia, we checked out of our standard walkout room and checked into an overwater bungalow! This has been on our bucket list for quite some time and even though originally we had planned on an over water experience in Bora Bora, due to COVID, we opted for a resort with overwater bungalows “closer to home”. My mom (a professional travel agent at Lisa’s Dream Destinations) found Sandals La Grande in St. Lucia with a variety of room options including an OWB. We have bills to pay so we weren’t trying to stay in one the entire duration of the trip. Lisa worked her magic and found us 4 nights in a deluxe walkout suite (a standard room at the resort) and 3 nights in a private overwater bungalow. Also, at the time of booking we ended up getting an amazing price for the end of November/early December. Prices in 2022 were significantly more, so on a whim, we booked!
I am planning on doing additional review/recap posts in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, I am uploading the vlogs I took on our trip. In this vlog, we are greeted by our butler and checked into the overwater bungalow. I did a brief tour (hopefully you don’t get motion sickness with my amazing camera-handling skills) followed by our private dinner on the deck, also arranged by our travel agent.
