So many things happened in May! I graduated college, moved back home, and then moved 1200+ miles away into my own apartment (with a roomie). I can’t believe how much has changed this past month, but I am so excited for what is to come. As I am enjoying my last few days of freedom before I start my full-time job, I have been scheduling blog posts and I realized I have not done a monthly favorites post is so long. Lately, I’ve loved so many new products, I had to share!
BlentSMART: If you follow me on the good ol’ Instagram then you recognize this lil’ device (psst… follow me HERE if you haven’t already). I received this rotating foundation brush from the kind folks and BlendSMART and since, I have noticed such a difference from applying my makeup to my finished look. All you have to do is turn it on and it actually spins, making the application of your foundation flawless.
Burt’s Bees Lipstick: I received the Burt’s Bees lipstick in the shade Brimming Berry from one of my hometown friends for graduation. She knows me so well because she got be a bag with beauty products and a adorable makeup travel case. I have always been a Burt’s Bees chapstick fan so when I saw this lipstick, I was pumped! It is exactly what you would expect from a Burt’s Bees lipstick, completely smooth and so hydrating!
Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation: It seems like I have the worst luck with foundations. I picked up this Maybelline Fit Me Matt Foundation a month and a half ago because my Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation was no longer the correct shade for my face. The Portland winter made me pasty so I had to pick up another foundation so I would stop looking orange when I wore the incorrect shade. I decided to go drugstore because I didn’t feel like dropping $50 bucks on a lighter foundation when summer was just around the corner and I could go back to Tarte. Regardless that it is drugstore, I absolutely love it!! Target has this product in so many shades so you can get as close to your shade as possible. The one downside is it is hard to get the desired amount out of the bottle. Either nothing comes out or a giant glob pours out and I end up wasting it.
Maybelline Brow Drama: I actually saw this product on a commercial featuring Gigi Hadid and when I went to Target next I decided to try it out (congrats Maybelline marketing team). I had been using the Anatasia Brow Wiz, but was running low on it so I decided to try a drugstore eyebrow product instead! It is a essentially a crayon that your draw on your eyebrows with but nevertheless, I love it. One thing I love about it is that it is also a wax so it holds your eyebrows in place if they are like mine and get wild. I do wish the actual crayon part was a tad bit smaller because it is easy to add too much eyebrow.
Georgia May Dewy Darling Dry Skin Face Elixir: If you haven’t read my review on this amazing product do it now! I was worried about how my skin would react when I moved to Denver because I have naturally dry and sensitive skin, especially in the warmer months. So far I have continued to use this serum and my face is soft and hydrated!
Clinique High-Lengths Mascara: I think I have gone through Clinique High-Length mascaras, so clearly I love it! It truly does make your eyelashes longer and the brush allows you to apply a coat to every lash making them look fuller and longer. I have been applying a coat of this Clinique mascara and then doing another coat with my Maybelline Falsies mascara for a more dramatic look.
